Mary's foodbank has moved and is now operating from our new premises, Portland Pathways (the old waterfield's shop).
Mary's Foodbank was set up in 2014 mainly to support one homeless person.
It has now grown in strength and supports many families and individuals in our local community.
Clients are referred to us from various agencies after having a referral form completed and we work closely with CGL, Citizens advice and the relevant agencies in the Sutton in Ashfield area.
We offer a warm welcome to everyone who steps through our doors and the kettle is always on as we not only provide our clients with a food parcel but sandwiches, sausage rolls/pasties, cake, and biscuits.
We would like to offer thanks to Gregg’s, Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s and the Coop for their continued support as well as our local Churches and schools who are always on hand in offering regular donations both at Harvest Festival and throughout the year.
Specsavers in Idlewells Precinct fundraise throughout the year and help at Christmas with donations of Selection boxes and Chocolate to give out to children.
Our volunteers give up so much of their valuable time and without them, Mary's food bank would not be able to support our local community.
