About the Centre
The Magdalene Centre which is situated adjacent to the ancient Parish Church of St. Mary Magdalene, is an ideal venue for all types of function from a small meeting to a Wedding Reception, Children’s Parties, Celebration Parties, Presentation Evening, Annual Dinner or specific Fund Raiser.
It is also available for Conferences, Seminars, etc. with Wi-Fi facilities, public address, and audiovisual system complete with a large screen, the room can accommodate up to 160 people.
Whatever your occasion there is available a fully equipped, well-stocked licensed bar for hire, set in a comfortable lounge area. The main function room has a large stage for presentations, entertainment, live bands, discos, etc, and has a sprung solid wood dance floor.
When it is a special occasion, the Centre staff can dress the tables to compliment your color scheme, chair covers and bows are available for hire, and the seating plan can be arranged to your special requirements.
Our team of caterers has a local reputation for providing excellent food dishes, which also includes time-honored home-made cakes, scones, etc. Menus are available to suit any occasion and these can be adapted to satisfy your individual needs.
However, if you prefer to self-cater or bring in your own caterers, the fully fitted kitchen is available for hire, please ask for details.
Whatever your needs and requirements we can cater for you, our friendly and experienced staff are on hand at all times and will do their utmost to make your event a successful and happy occasion.
The Magdalene Centre is also used on a weekly basis by several community clubs/organizations and is an ideal venue for hosting all types of fitness classes, dance classes, etc.
